This local Lovely beautiful fruit in fact nobody exactly knows its origin name and its place of origin, If you really know that please share with us. Cameron Highlands farmer entitle a romantic good name for it knows as “Love fruit”. Cameron Highlands Love Fruit with a smooth bright pericarp outlook with bright red or yellow color, size and shape such as eggs.

"Love Fruit" Malay native name called "Buah SuSu", In Cantonese call it "
jim jui guo", means as “Kiss fruit”. And this is actually an action of eating. When mouth contact with the fruit tine Cameron Highlands Love Fruit Tree.jpg through your mouth and gnaw a hole, this action just like a  kissing soft and romantic. 

"Love Fruit" pericarp very thin like a piece of paper. Bite a hole and then use you mouth to sucking the pulp and seeds from inside the fruit, also kept the finger extrusion of the fruit.
Its pulp and seeds will go on in your mouth. This time you will feel the flavor of love. This method are rapid convenient and romantic. Most Cameron Highland resident and visitors have this kind of experience!

How to eat "Love Fruit"? Love Fruit" pericarp is a little bit acerbity. "Love Fruit" Juice is in bright red (blood) color. What you can do after peeled of the skin. Now you can boil “Love Fruit” syrup or eat mix with “Rojak” sauce. Local people will tell you how to eat and tell you the taste is sourer sweet, Begin with sourer and sweet at the end. The "Love Fruit" taste really unique and difference. They said for those without lover after eating you will fall in love? With a lover after eating you will feel sweeter and cherish. “Remember when you visit to Cameron Highlands you must try "Love Fruit" and experience the romantic.

Cameron Highlands Love Fruit with Rojak.jpgI have been travel to many countries but never seen such a good looking beautiful "Love Fruit".

Until year 2008 I saw this fruit in Bali Island, Indonesia , But not many of them.

All over Malaysia only this highlands and its cool climate are most suitable to plant Love fruit tree in volume. "Love Fruit" tree very easily grow and easy to take care. “Love fruit” tree have a lot of fruit and can pick up for many year. May be some one can open a "Love Fruit" farm or park for tourist to visit. I thing this idea is possible and great.

Over these years Cameron Highlands “Love Fruit” does not develop become tourist attractions products like strawberry. I suggest some one should develop "Love Fruit" products just like strawberries products. We can have “love fruit juice”, “love fruit chocolate”, “love fruit preserved fruit”,  “love fruit flavored tea”, “love fruit biscuits”, “love fruit jam”, “love fruit popsicle”, t-shirt or souvenirs” and so on."Love Fruit" really have its own unique taste. Hope one day

金马仑高原最有代表性的果实我会推荐“爱情果”，这是当地人给它取得一个浪漫好听的名字。外皮光滑明亮，大小形状如鸡蛋，有鲜红色及黄色两种。

其实这种奇怪的水果它真正的名字及原产地我也搞不清楚。“爱情果”的土名叫“Buah SuSu”  广东话称它为“尖嘴果”“华语译为接吻果”，此名由来其实是吃时接触的一个动作，就象是在接吻一样。用嘴去咬“爱情果”的皮，皮很薄，咬了一个小洞然后再用嘴唇去吮吸里面的肉及种子，手指也不停的使力挤压.它的果肉和种子就都会跑到你的口中.这个时候你就会感受到爱情的味道了。这种方法快速方便又浪漫。大部分的金马仑人都有过这种体验。

吃的味道又如何？当地人会告诉你就像爱情的味道是先苦后甜的。没爱情的吃了就会有爱情？有爱情的吃了就会更珍惜更加甜美。“爱情果”的皮带有点苦涩味，像是苦涩味的桃子皮。果汁颜色红如血，里面的肉及种子带有酸酸甜甜的味道。有人说味道有一点点像芒果肉加上番茄再加上黑加仑子，但是很难用想象的方法将这些味道凑合起来. 总之只能亲身体会无法言传！我强力推荐尝试一下爱情果的味道.  

“爱情果”有丰富的维他命C 等营养。多服有美容紧肤作用。种子多如番茄可吃且能帮助消化，另外的吃法有，去皮之后煲糖水或 参Rojak酱一起吃口感真一流。记得到金马仑高原一定要尝一尝“爱情果”的滋味和体验这种浪漫的爱情。

我到过好多个国家地区，都不成碰见过这种好看美丽鲜艳的“爱情果” 果实。全马也只有金马仑这种气候能种，“爱情果” 树很容易生长`果实也很多，也能摘采多年。一种奇怪的现象就是多年来在金马仑高原它还是没能发扬光大，成为一种金马仑高原的旅游特色主题“爱情果”园或品牌。

金马仑高原的“爱情果” 果实，这么多年来没能像草莓一样把它制成果汁`爱情果巧克力`爱情果干`爱情果饼干`爱情果味茶`爱情果冰棒`爱情果酱或纪念品等等。“爱情果”真的很有自己的独特个性。金马仑高原应该保留发展它自己土产的独特性，它才能很有品牌很独特的走向世界而不被取代。
