Nestled in a room at the top of the stairs lies a home for all who are craving for a home cooked meal. Its rustic warm ambience adds a special touch to the T café. Simple rattan furnishing compliments the surrounding. The high ceiling gives one the feeling of being in an attic. A self contained café with a book exchange section along with net accessing facilities all to keep you connected.
About Us Early in 2002, a group of friends, captivated by the idea of having a unique dining establishment where one could feel cosy and completely at home, discovered a quaint little place on the 1st floor of a shop lot. Hence, the T-cafe was born.Almost two years since its inception, the T-Cafe has steadily developed as a Culinary and Social Icon of downtown Tanah Rata. Now here's the real problem, our patrons were mostly local tourists as well as traveller's from all over the globe; who all wanted something different, something new yet inexpensive? That’s OK. Never quite satisfied with the variety of food served, co-owner and manager, Terese Karon, strove to expand the list of delicacies on the menu. Consequently, the choice for the customer had expanded to an extensive selection to cater for the local customer’s as well as tourist from around the globe...
Although we may not have realized it at when we first began, the T Cafe has always been about people. In our interaction we found, that each guest brings a lifetime of experiences to the Cafe and because they feel so relaxed like at home" they leave their impressions behind. We ourselves do not quite understand what it is about the Cafe that evokes these feelings. Perhaps, it is our hospitality or is it the lofty, vaulted ceilings or the seasoned hardwood floors; the warm wicker and cane furniture or the sunny, breezy windows that open to a view of lushes green pines. One might warm their hands with some tea or their tummy with a meal, nevertheless, the Cafe will warm their hearts. Whether one is traveling alone or with a companion, with that special someone or with a raucous tribe, we merely strive to complete your experience of the Cameron Highlands .
